1 Why should I buy a constant outlet ORP Water Ionizer?
How does one sort through this and determine which units are good ones? Our answer are if the unit after using one year and the negative charge of ORP still on range about -350mv to -200mv then this unit is performance as you need. However, the water ionizer on the market will increase the negative charge of ORP within few months. Especially, in the hard water area the calcium will adhere to the electrodes. At that moment, you are drinking the alkaline water only. The ionized water negative charge of ORP should be range in -350mv to -200mv. Then the Ionized Antioxidant in the form of Hydroxyl Ions (an oxygen molecule with an extra electron) donates its extra electrons to free radicals (a oxygen molecule that is missing one electron).
Our unit utilizes state of the art MICOM digital technology that allows complete versatility in preventing overheating, regulating precise constant outlet ORP, self-cleaning and diagnostic mechanisms.
The unit is currently being manufactured in Taiwan and is one of the best selling Water Ionizers available in the country. Our factory getting the patterned and award throughout the world (U.S.A., Japan, Germany, Mainland China etc) Our water ionizers are sold in Taiwan and throughout the orient. It is an extremely popular unit because it is an affordable extremely high quality unit.
Our water ionizer is an attractive unit, and is easy to install. It has a self-cleaning mechanism that comes on every 20 hours. This unit has a heavy duty, grounded, two or three-prong plug while other Water Ionizers have only a thin cord, which is conducive to overheating. Another advantage to the unit is the fact it has a fuse and not a circuit breaker. Two amp fuses are inexpensive and can be easily purchased at hardware shops etc. If a circuit breaker on a Japanese Water Ionizer fails, that unit must be shipped back to Japan or sent to a shop to be repaired. We strongly believe that a fuse is more preferable to a circuit breaker when it comes to Water Ionizers.
It is a known fact that the Japanese system of distribution is a middleman system that guarantees lots of profit for certain people and a much higher retail price to the consumer. This ridiculous, anti-free enterprise system simply does not exist in Taiwan. As everyone knows that Taiwan is very high tech in computer industrial. Taiwan made Water Ionizers are excellent products that are lower priced because of competition and unchecked free-enterprise.
2 How does the Water Ionizer produce ionized water? Water is run over positive and negative electrodes, which ionizes the water. It accomplishes this by electrically "charging" the water into positive and negative ions. And the positive ions of water will run over to negative electrode become alkaline water (alkaline water use the ORP meter will get the negative charge of ORP). The negative ions of water will run over to positive electrode become acidic water.
3 Can the ionizer produce alkaline water without creating acid water?
No, unless the original water was acid free to begin with. In that case the pH of the alkaline water will be about 0.3 higher than the original water pH and the acid side water pH will be near 7, a neutral value.
4 The positive and negative electrodes are crucial to the performance of any Water Ionizer. What materials are the Water Ionizers electrodes comprised of?
The electrodes are made of Platinum / Titanium. The electrodes are composed of solid Titanium with a dip-treatment Platinum coating, which is the standard in our water ionizer. Titanium is used because it is extremely hard. The platinum is coated, not electroplated, on to the titanium. Platinum is used because it is an excellent conductor. Our water ionizer use titanium platinum-coated electrodes as it will last indefinitely.
5 Where does the Water Ionizer connect?
At any sink in the house or at work. The unit comes with a diverter. It is not possible to make a diverter that will fit every tap, the diverter that comes with the unit fits onto a single tap on any standard sink. If you have a mixer tap and the diverter does not fit Diverters may be purchased at a local hardware store.
6 How long have Water Ionizers been on the market?
Water Ionizers have been available in the orient for over forty years. They were popularized in Japan and began to become somewhat common there round about the mid 1980's. Several Japanese models in recent years from Japan are no longer being manufactured, although getting filters for those units usually does not pose a significant problem, but they can sometimes be costly.
7 What countries manufacturer Water Ionizers?
Water Ionizers manufactured in Taiwan, Korea and Japan. The mater of fact, Japan is soft water area and their water ionizer is as they claim can be use for few years in Japan, but same unit to the other countries the water source is extremely different with Japan, most are hard water. Most of Japanese water ionizer can’t be use as long as Japan. The water may maintain the PH over 7-8, but the water without negative charge of ORP between -400mv to -200mv, can it call ionized water?? Clearly, the consumer must decide whether the Water ionizer is worth the price that is being charged for it, and which ionizer unit is value for the money.
8 Should a Water Ionizer have a circuit breaker or fuse?
It does not matter whether a Water Ionizer has a fuse or a circuit breaker, although circuit breakers in Water Ionizers often have weak transformers that overheat. This usually requires a circuit breaker rather than a fuse. If a fuse was used it would need to replaced often, because of the overheating possibility.
9 Is the volume a Water Ionizer produces per minute important? Are some Water Ionizers on the market stronger than other Water Ionizers?
All home Water Ionizers currently manufactured deliver approximately 1 to 1-1/2 gallons per minute. There is very little difference between the strength of the various Water Ionizers on the market. Ionized Water with a pH of 10 or higher has only an unflattering taste, almost as though it is salty. Normally, the slower you run water through a Water Ionizer, the stronger it will become because the source water has more contact time with the electrodes. This is why the flow rate of Water Ionizers essentially does not matter. If you wish to drink strong Ionized Water then running the source water through it very slowly will accomplish a stronger ionized water. But our water ionizer can be constant outlet for ORP as you needs, the water flow rate of your water source is same result of our water ionizer.
10 Does it matter what the electrodes on a Water Ionizer are composed of?
The electrodes are one of the most important components of a Water Ionizer. It is sometimes suggested that there are units on the market that have stainless steel electrodes and this simply is not the case. All Water Ionizers currently manufactured have titanium electrodes with platinum tips, which is one of the largest costs of a Water Ionizer.
11 What is the advantage of having a UV light on a Water Ionizer ?
The purpose of UV light is for bacterial disinfecting. However, on a Water Ionizer this is completely unnecessary for several reasons. If you have city (municipal) water then your water has already been disinfected through the use of chlorine. The carbon filter on the Water Ionizer will remove the chlorine. The UV light itself loses much of its effectiveness after the first six months of use and should be replaced often, which is of course an expensive proposition. Also, the glass tube that the water travels through in order that it can be exposed to the UV light develops a film on it after only a few months, which greatly lessens the effectiveness of the UV light on the water which passes through the tube. Most manufacturing industries use slow running water with long UV tubes, so it is questionable as to how effective a Small UV tube over faster running water is ? This is not logical.
12 Does the unit have a built In Carbon Filter?
Yes it does, it is silver activated carbon filter, which is very effective at removing chlorine from tap water. The filter should be replaced when the filter indicated are empty.
13 Why is there such a large Price difference between Japanese and Taiwan Water Ionizers?
Water Ionizers are very much like any other appliance on the market in that a $100 appliance essentially performs the same function as a $400 appliance. The $400 appliance may have all the frills, however the more bells and whistles, the greater chance something is going to break. Usually, import goods from Japan means dealing in a system of built-in middlemen, which Taiwan does not have.
14 Will I need a plumber? No, this can be done by the average person who has little or no plumbing experience.
15 How long will it take to install? Usually in about 30 minutes.
16 Will I need any additional parts in order to install my Water Ionizer? About 10% of all faucets do not have the standard screw thread that will fit the faucet diverter that comes with the unit. If you find the faucet diverter will not fit your sink, note what kind of faucet you have and take the install kit included faucet adapter to any hardware store and they will have the necessary parts you will need.
17 What kind of warranty does the Water Ionizer have on it? You have 1 year warranty.
18 What is your return policy? If you choose to return the Water Ionizer you may do so within 30 days. There is a 15% restocking charge for returned Water Ionizers.
19 Do I absolutely have to use my tap water with the Water Ionizer or is there a way to use the 5 gallon water bottles? You can purchase Recreational Vehicle 5 Gallon Pump which is designed to pump water from a 5 gallon water bottle to a sink faucet or refrigerator ice machine. This could also be used to pump bottled water from the 5 gallon container to the Regency II Water Ionizer. All that would be need is the necessary fittings (available at any hardware store) to use the R.V. Pump to deliver water to the Water Ionizer.
20 I tried the pH color indicator drops that come with the Water Ionizer but it seems to indicate that the water has not changed much in pH. What is the problem? First, the pH color indicator drops of any kind are not terribly accurate. For absolute accuracy, we recommend you try the Digital pH Meter. However, the value of ionized water is not the PH. The most important of ionized water is negative charge of ORP (oxidation reduction potential). If you try the high PH level and fill it in a clear glass. You will see very small bubbles in the water. That is the antioxidant that will revert to oxygen and give you lots of Energy.
21 How to reset the filter life? Press the “FUN” bottom on the controls panel , you will see the “Cln” on LCD display,
Then press the “SET” bottom then press the “-“bottom. You will hear beep-beep sound, which means you have reset the filter life check.
22 Why does the PH level LED light is blinking and Why does the unit play music when I first turn it on? Our Water Ionizer either beeps or plays music when it is in cleaning mode, which means the electrodes have reverse polarity and acid water is coming out the stainless outlet and alkaline water is coming on the tube that runs into the sink. Self-cleaning dramatically extends the use of the electrodes. Never drink the water from the Water Ionizer when it is cleaning mode. Every 20 Hours the LED light will blinking to remind you that water ionized in need to be cleaning.
